Vendor Verification Process

PlanetWise follows a phased sustainability onboarding and verification process designed to balance ease of supplier onboarding with progressive sustainability validation.

Our process helps create a trusted marketplace ecosystem focused on transparency, responsible sourcing, and measurable sustainability practices.

Phase 1 — Basic Sustainability Declaration
Vendors complete a basic sustainability onboarding form covering:


  • Business information
  • Product categories
  • Sustainability practices
  • Recyclability and packaging practices
  • Social responsibility declarations
  • Governance and compliance declarations
This phase is primarily self-declared and intended to simplify initial onboarding.

Phase 2 — Sustainability Validation

Vendors may be requested to submit supporting documentation including:
  • Business registration documents
  • GST and compliance records
  • ISO certifications
  • Sustainability-related certifications
  • Packaging and material information
  • Occupational health & safety evidence
  • Awards and recognitions
This phase strengthens transparency and validation credibility.

Phase 3 — Advanced ESG & Carbon Assessment

Advanced vendors may undergo deeper sustainability evaluation covering:
  • Energy management
  • Renewable energy usage
  • GHG emissions awareness
  • Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions tracking
  • ESG disclosures
  • Sustainable sourcing practices
  • Circular economy initiatives
  • Internal audit and governance practices
